Stephen Cash – Chief Executive OfficerStephen has over 25 years experience with ICI plc holding a full range of commercial positions. Establishing the world’s first commercial route to single-walled carbon nanotube manufacture during his 11 years at Thomas Swann & Co. they are now the premier manufacturer worldwide. He has a proven ability to create commercial value from new technology and set up Screen Technology Ltd. based on PLLCD technology, which is now floated on AIM as Screen Technology Plc.Stephen is also non-executive Director on 4 high-tech start up companies and sits on the advisory board of the Materials Science Department of Cambridge University and on a number of Industrial/Academic projects in materials science.
Stephen obtained his BSc from Staffordshire, an MSc and MBA from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, and gained his PhD in nanoparticulate synthesis from The University of Teesside in 2001. Stephen brings 15 years of reactive particulates research for companies such as Cookson Minerals, Great Lakes Chemical Corporation and Synetix, and was key in the market assessment, development and delivery of nanoparticulate flame retardant research within Great Lakes Chemical Corporation . Stephen later took this market and research experience to the University of Durham where he administered the Durham Nanomaterials University Innovation Centre (UIC) for three years as part of an RDA led inititiative on nanotechnology research and commercialisation in the North East of England. Stephen has vast experience in the functionalisation and characterisation of nanoparticulates.

Dan brings over 7 years experience in Sales, Marketing and Business Development. He has successful track record in driving business growth for science and technology companies such as Dow Corning, BP and Accelrys within both the Pharma/Biotech and Chemicals/Materials industries. During his time at Accelrys Dan was responsible for taking Accelrys’ modelling and simulation capability into the nanomaterials domain, enabling companies involved with biosensors, electronics, nanocomposites and nano-structured formulations to take forward their research. Dan was also key in the development of Accelrys’ Nanotechnology Consortia, where companies from various industries collaborated to accelerate the development of computational tools for use in nanomaterials research. Dan has a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Leeds University.
